It is the morning of spring, and a cool earth
arises from the long sleep of winter.
A yellow sun warms the unleaved trees
and winter dried grasses.

There is a certain air to the mountain Spring,
as though it were a re-enactment of creation
and Spring is the beginning.  It is a season,
in all it's glory, to return throughout all
eternity to the Smokies.
